I love Riverside and have been going to Kanopolis for 30 plus years. I wasn’t keen on the camping spot we normally stay in after cutting down the trees and having piles of mulch.it looked awful to be honest. I’d recommend cleaning that up or moving it to another area if people want to use as a fire starter. I also camp over there to visit family at Kanopolanes and the walk path was obstructed by a massive tree. I had little kids with me so we did not attempt to climb over it. So not happy about that. There used to be a walk path and it has never been an issue for at least 30 years. I might as well just camp over on the South side or Venago. The only thing that did look good was the work they did to the outlet and river.

When I got there people that were fishing were parked in our spot. Camp host moved us to a different spot. All worked out ok but very frustrating for awhile

Great site, right by the river with a path nearby down to the water. Well maintained with enough grass for our tent to set up comfortably. There are showers in the bathrooms.
