We enjoyed the shade and wildlife over the weekend. The park kept water and electricity on all weekend to finish out the seasons.
The only negatives would be lots of stickers on the campgrounds and we had a bee hive somewhere close so we had a bee infestation. Thank goodness for our friends so we could hang out next door!

Our site was on Kimble Point which is a cul-de-sac right next to the water. Sites were 50amp. A water outlet was available within the cul-de-sac. Dump station near the park entrance.
Sites are rock & clean with a fire pit & picnic table available. In addition to our jacks we had to placed boards under the rear tires as well as the rear jacks to get level.
Nice grass walking trail within the park that circles around Kimble Point. All roads within the park are paved & no issues getting to the park or around it.
Closest amenities, i.e. fuel, groceries, etc. are at least 30-60 minutes away.

The camp sites are great. These are gravel, mostly level sites that have some trees for shade depending on which site you choose. The amenities are good. Good boat ramp close, excellent beach and play ground equipment. The ONLY issue is the bathrooms which are atrocious. I wouldn’t let my dog shower in these facilities. They need to be cleaned (heavily) and updated. Most shower heads don’t work very well, and also many rooms are missing basic items like hooks for clothes/shower bags. The volunteers and camp hosts are awesome. Very friendly and helpful.

- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
