It would really be good to have water with every campsite that had electricity. The water is already in the ground and wouldn’t take an enormous amount of money to make this happen.
Thank you

When I bought my permit for overnight I didn’t even get to stay. It had expired before I could even stay. Even though I bought it for that night.

Very clean park, week day was quiet, enjoyable visit. Saw wildlife every day, even a newborn whitetail following mom. Showers and bathrooms clean, and a real nice dump. Always look forward to Venango. The only thing I would like to see would be easy access fishing dock's for us old folks.

This is a beautiful campground. There are a number of sites on the water - these generally do not have water or electricity. Ours had both water and electricity, but, next time we might boondock to have the view! I enjoyed the trails through the park. The spaces are well spaced apart. Our stay was quiet and pleasant throughout the week. We stayed Monday to Saturday. Friday night was a bit loud with a larger party ignoring the quiet time. I wasn't really sure how to get a hold of the ranger. And of course, this could have been a one-off.
There are ample flush toilets available. The showers were close and I would say medium clean. I wasn't a fan of the push button for the water flow - but, managed.
If we find ourselves in Kansas on another trip this would be a place we would return to.

Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
