We stayed in D loop and the campsite itself is beautiful, lots of trees, everything is clean and well keep, nice facilities, good boat dock, etc. We did have an interesting experience with the Park Ranger though that, sadly, spoiled our camping:
1. Upon arriving at the campsite we were informed that we were not allowed to have our golf cart there because it was dangerous but we saw other motorized scooters, mopeds, and bicycles-how is a golf cart any more dangerous?
2. After 5 days of camping my husband received a phone call at work informing him that we were not allowed to use the campsite as a storage facility...Seriously?! Were were at the campsite every single day! We went to work, came out to fish and camp. On the weekend we were there the whole time. Who in their right mind would pay $20 a day to store their camper. AND if we paid for the site, who cares if we were there or not?
3. Two days later the Park Ranger came to our campsite and informed us that the boat could be on the grass next to the camper but we could not leave the truck hooked up to the boat because the truck had to have 2 wheels on the gravel. The camper next to us came over after that encounter and he was shocked that that was even a rule.
I have to say we felt harassed by the Ranger and we will no longer stay on the federal side. We will still camp and fish at Kanopolis, but we will stay on the state side where we are allowed to relax and just have fun.

We always love Bendigo park. Where we stay we have no one very near. It's always peaceful and we have a great view of the lake. The streets are nicely paved so we have good walking area. We hope to visit there several times yet this year.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
