Can’t say enough good about this place! The staff was really friendly, facilities were always clean and the scenery was beautiful. My kids loved the playgrounds and we were able to fish and swim right at our campsite!

Great park, beautiful location. Well managed. Not so strict you feel as though you’re u can’t have any fun but kept an eye on for any safety or noise issues.

We had a delightful weekend at Turkey Point. The campsites are nice sized and there was plenty of shade. It is easy to get around the campground and there are nice trails for walking.

We love Turkey Point. The camp hosts are great. There is continuous patrol by the park rangers and the sheriffs department. I feel very safe. The campground is very clean and well taken care of. It is a beautiful lake. The camp sites are spaced nicely and are well maintained. This is by far one of the nicest camp grounds we have stayed in. There are nice hiking trails. It is a great lake to kayak on.

Two reasons our stay at Turkey Point/Melvern Lake was rated "FAIR". 1) The grass had not been mowed which brings about more insects. The gnats are REALLY BAD. Hoards of them. Makes the camping experience very uncomfortable. 2) The asphalt and chat covering at each site is awful. In the heat of the day, the asphalt smells. The chat gets stuck to shoes and thus is carried into the camper. All this sticks to the tires of vehicles thus is thrown on wheel wells and fenders. Each site we have stayed this season has ruts because the asphalt is so soft. As a result, they hold rain water which supplies mosquitos a breeding place. All we campers need is more insects!!
