I love camping at Rock Creek.
I have a BIG problem with Rock Creek (Pensulia) closing the end of Sept. October is real camping weather in Kansas!!!!!!!
Even Slough Creek stays open to the 15th of October.
Please consider extending 2 weeks the open/close camping at Rock Creek.

When we got there someone was in our spot. We talked and they said someone was in their spot and the host never did anything about it. Another group came in the next day and someone was in their spot. It all snowballed because the host was to lazy to do their job. It was the last week before closing for the year so maybe the host didn’t care but by not doing his job the rest of us on peninsula c all were put out.

Most sites are good size and well maintained. Good cell service so I was able work since I had internet through my hot spot.

The bathrooms are the worse I have ever seen. Shower heads are missing. No matter what time I went there was no hot water. The trash were full and nasty in the bathrooms. They were spider infested. We had to bring a broom just to knock them down. We love the location, but they need to update and do maintenance on those bath houses.
Very Disappointed!

Camp site was shady and cool always and we made a visit to the new restaurant and bar called High Tide. The showers are great and the dump station is set up good. Wish it had 50 amp service but the 30 amp worked fine. The pricing for camp sites is great and they are mostly spacious.
