What Guests Are Saying
Carbolyn Park is a beautiful and quiet campground with spacious, shaded sites that are ideal for families and pets. Most facilities are well-kept, including clean bathrooms, and there's a nice playground for kids. Some visitors noted issues with grass length and electrical upkeep, but overall, many expressed a desire to return due to the park's relaxing atmosphere and well-maintained environment.

Carbolyn Park is an undiscovered treasure!
We are tent campers with kids in our group from 1 to 17 years old.
We have stayed at these same sites twice this summer.
The bathhouse was clean and tp was well stocked. Everything was in working order and the shower was plenty warm! (Just wish the shower water stayed on a bit longer with each press of the button!)
Playground equipment was well maintained and the kids spent hours playing there.
The camp hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Some of our kids suspected they might be Santa and Mrs Clause and the hosts were kind enough to play along. The hosts make regular rounds to check in and make sure things are going well.
The county Sherrif makes regular rounds making an already safe feeling site feel that much more safe.
Huge beautiful trees provide ample shade, the picnic tables and fire rings are all in good condition and the water and electrical hookups were as well.
We will definitely be back! Wish this campground was open with electric/water longer into the fall because we'd be back in early October if it was possible!

What a beautiful park!!!! We have been coming to Pamona for at least 25 years and have stayed in most of the campsites but Carbolyn was one we had never stayed at. When we made this reservation, the other campgrounds were pretty booked up and Carbolyn was the only one with a site available for all the days we were looking for. I booked it and crossed my fingers we would like it. Like is not a strong enough word. We absolutely loved that park and will probably try to stay there from now on when we go to Pamona. The cam hosts were amazing as well. I would recommend this campground to everyone even though that may make it difficult for me to make a reservation. LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

Shade was excellent. Site location(#16) was great, near showers and playground)! Hookups placed on WRONG side of trailer, it took us 45 minutes to maneuver the trailer between the trees to angle it enough to use hookups!! Now because of proximity of trees our awning was not able to miss tree. Bathrooms adequate although needed to have leaves and debris swept out! Only able to remain in site for one night of the three reserved because breaker box burned up on Friday evening as we were beginning to fix dinner, no lights, no air, no refrigerator, etc. Informed by attendants, we would have to pack up and move to another site; new site as far as possible from restrooms and showers, backed up in a wedge-shape to the woods and drop-off to the river bank. Because we were expecting our small grandchildren the next day and this site was at the extreme end of Park from playground and it was now nearly 9:00 w/o dinner! We closed up our trailer, re-packed the truck and drove home arriving back in KC after midnight...My husband and I have camped at Pomona Lake for many years including many stays at Carbolyn Park (although NOT recently), these facilities need updating!

First night there the camp was virtuely empty. But as the days went by, it filed with campers, kids and boats. Even with the kids, the campground was still quiet. Had a nice shaed site (#12) with no issues. Each site had a neww layer of gravel since we were there last. Hosts were very friendly and informative.

The campground is awesome.but the lady that cleans the bath room and empties the trash is rude and a bitch.she just needs to do her job and not worry about what you are doing and everyone one else

Despite the lack of any lake view, Carbolyn Park is my favorite among Pomona Lake's campgrounds. The trees provide lots of shade from summer heat and I love hearing the sound of the owls in the evening. I think the most interesting thing at Carbolyn Park is the restroom building for its architecture. Although it is not new, it is open for the most part to the sky, allowing for a lovely view of the trees above and delightful breezes. The restrooms were the one part of Carbolyn Park that I wanted to take photos of to share on Facebook, such was their uniqueness to any of my prior campground experiences. A review of this park would not be complete without a kind word about the campground hosts of this past summer, that of 2021. They were helpful, friendly, and kept the campground perfectly free of litter. If I could offer any criticism, it is the inconvenience of the particularly late check-out time of 6 p.m. to those who arrive before that hour. We prefer to arrive and set up in time to avoid rush hour traffic around cities, prepare dinner for the evening, and before we are too tired. Having to wait in your vehicle until 6 p.m. for a camper occupying the site you have reserved for that evening to vacate from their stay the night before is no fun. Thankfully, the campground hosts are there to assist you if they have a different camp spot available, but if not, you may end up having to wait.
