Many visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained sites, and amenities like the shower house and beach area. Beautiful, so enjoyed the spot. Near the lake and fishing (I did not catch but oh well). Had electric and water no sewer but a dump station. Wife and I had ebikes, love the area for the ride. I guess I can't tell you how we enjoyed this outing.

Due to weather, we were without electricity for the 1st night. We appreciated the Ranger stopping by our campsite to inform us of the situation. Once electricity was restored, everything at the campsite worked well. The swim beach was great and close to where our site was set.
The 2 negatives: cold water in one of the showers I used and no hand soap dispensers in the bathrooms.
We will go back to this location!!

Love Michigan Valley campsite. Visit several times a year and enjoy it every day. Always well lite in public areas and patrolled by campground host, Park Rangers and Corp. of Engineer employees.

Restrooms were very clean lots of hot water. We missed all the deer that would come back from eating there was three or four only one this year. Kanopolis lake has deer everywhere and wild turkey in the campgrounds. It was such a delight to see a herd of deer eating grass behind the restrooms below the dam. I like to see more no hunting around the lake

All was good except for the no hot water in the showers. It was addressed and thought it was fixed, but then when returned to take another shower, water was cold again. We did appreciate the pleasantness of all the employees and it was a well kept up campground.
