What Guests Are Saying
Smith Ridge Campground offers a clean and peaceful environment, with friendly volunteer staff and well-maintained facilities. Campers appreciate the spacious sites and the beautiful natural setting, ideal for family gatherings and relaxation. However, some guests noted issues with cellular service, bathroom supplies, and the campground's limited open season, particularly wishing it would remain open into October.

We absolutely love the Corps of Engineers Campgrounds and always look to stay at one of them before we consider any other campgrounds! You folks ROCK!!! The campgrounds are always immaculate and the hosts and cleaning staff are the best! Thanks to all that help make our camping trips so enjoyable and safe (a real plus in this day and age)! Tom & Jan

Campground is clean, hosts and attendants are amazing. I love the layout of the campground. I wish there were more water and electric sites. Road needs a little upkeep but this has become my new favorite place.

Smith Ridge is a nice campground. We enjoy it because it’s so close to Green River Lake and Emerald Isle Marina. The food there is excellent, the service is remarkable and the people there are the friendliest we have ever met. The campground also has wonderful people working at check in and out and will help you with questions and suggestions. They are wonderful individuals. The park is beautiful and well groomed. We delighted in seeing multiple deer very close to our campsite.

The Loop B area had a shower house with individual shower rooms that were clean & roomy. Site pads were mostly level but the surrounding grounds were somewhat hilly. Staff was friendly. Swimming beach is mucky & rocky on the bottom so water shoes may be desirable. AT&T had NO service here, even for text messages. Overall a nice place to camp.

I've been camping at Smith Ridge for ever. I go every year for family reunion. I wouldn't camp anywhere else.
