Great campground!! Quiet, clean, mature shade, clean restrooms and showers. Large level graved sites with picnic tables, fire pits and lots of space. Nearby Green River for fishing, and restaurants and stores. Very inexpensive! Will be back!!

Bath houses need a lot of work, no hot water, dirty, mold, etc. showers are the pits. Campsites are awesome and the people are over the top friendly.. we stay there a lot….just avoid the bath houses.

The rangers were much better this visit than previous. We had heard they were going to ban electric scooters but nothing was said as of recent. There isn’t much for kids to do other than one play set or ride their bikes or walk the trail. When it rains and they have to come inside, the area has poor service for WiFi or tv reception unless you have a separate service such as dish networkWould be nice if they had something else for kids to do like we experience at other parks. It’s a nice quiet place if you are older, retired and have no children.

Some of the sites were too close together and even overlapped. Our neighbor's fire pit was only a few feet from our trailer
Our table and fire pit were right behind the trailer next to us. Poor site layout. Park was very clean and the hosts were great.

Holmes Bend is a nice campground. Like many campgrounds around Kentucky's lakes, this one is VERY busy on weekends. The one downside of this facility in my view is that it closes way too early. The week after Labor Day half the sites are closed, then two weeks later two more loops are closed, then after Oct 24 everything is closed.
