We really like Dog Creek as you can see the lake from most all the sites, it also quite m9st of the time and generally well cared for. However this time the grass REALLY needed cutting.

Dog Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful, clean, and spacious sites, along with a friendly atmosphere and proximity to Nolin Lake, making it a popular choice for visitors. Many reviewers enjoyed the quiet environment, well-maintained facilities, and the opportunity for outdoor activities such as swimming and watching sunrises. However, some concerns were raised about restroom ventilation, occasional inconsiderate behavior from other campers, and the need for better campground supervision.

We noticed a huge difference in the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Before the hosts made sure all was great. I believe by not having employees on site it is not going to be the best place to camp and we hate that because we love Dog Creek.
The volunteers were really nice with check in and coming around to see if all was good but not being paid I wouldn’t clean good either.

Excellent view of water and ver good campground overall. The showers were not clean and some didn't have toilet paper due to staffing shortage. Thr volunteers were nice and tried to be helpful but the lack of paid staff was evident.

THere is a concern about this camp functioning on all volunteers instead of paid attendant...I was there for opening day will have a more defined opinion after my next scheduled visit when I return in July. I have always enjoyed my time there...thanks
