Campsite was clean other than a few cigarette butts. Cell service is iffy for AT&T Verizon seems to be ok. Beach area was ok other than some trash left behind by other users.

Dog Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful, clean, and spacious sites, along with a friendly atmosphere and proximity to Nolin Lake, making it a popular choice for visitors. Many reviewers enjoyed the quiet environment, well-maintained facilities, and the opportunity for outdoor activities such as swimming and watching sunrises. However, some concerns were raised about restroom ventilation, occasional inconsiderate behavior from other campers, and the need for better campground supervision.

Pros: Each camping spot was huge, plenty of space for your rv, trailer and/or vehicle. Many of the lots had a great view of the lake and woods. It was some of the most beautiful scenery I’ve experienced at a campground. All of the workers were friendly and very laid back. The rates were very reasonable, electric was dependable, water hookups for rv were convenient and pressure was great. The dumpsite was sanitary and well maintained. It is only 10 minutes away from Mammoth cave and some other fun things.
Cons: bathrooms were pretty nice, BUT not well ventilated so it was hotter than hades! Grass hadn’t been cut for awhile so we were easy pickin’s for the chiggers and other pests. No cell service, but some might consider that a good thing.
