Had a beautiful view of the lake. The campsite was clean, level and spacious. We were there over a weekend and enjoyed quiet evenings. Saw local law enforcement drive through and felt safe with their presence. Both the electric and water hookups worked well. Will add this COE to our list of favorite campgrounds.

That had to be the best run campground I stayed at in a long time. It seems to have a lot of regular local visiting campers. Management should take pride in their work

We were not impressed with this place. Our site was unlevel, all sites were close together ,nothing to really do unless you have a boat. And to top it off the electrical box fried our plug and they didn’t have maintenance on the weekends for some reason so we had to leave our camper, go home, and return for the camper the next day. We still haven’t heard from anyone about getting the charges taken off our card since we couldn’t even stay there. We won’t ever go again

This was the first campground we ever visited....our new travel trailers maiden voyage. We were tickled to have chosen Hurricane creek, nice level site (site 10) , close to the water. 3 tent sites directly in front of our site (between us and the lake) but we enjoyed that , all 3 sites had families with little kids and they were having a big time. Hurricane Creek is a clean campground. Winter pool levels of the lake do affect one of the two bays that the campground is nestled on . Watching the sunset from our site was our favorite part each day. We will definitely stay here again.

Best time of year at HC! Geese and egrets and herons everywhere! Trees just started turning colors. Clean common areas & restrooms ;nice little playground for the kids. Sunset over the water—beautiful.
Always a great time fishing and easy to go kayaking. Have been here many times over the last few years and love this place!Tenting here is awesome too!

The firewood policy requires visitors at Lake Barkley’s campgrounds to use only firewood that has been certified as heat-treated by U.S. Department of Agriculture or state natural resource agency. |
