Sites weren’t as full as they showed for reservations. The campgrounds were pristine. Very well taken care of. The campground host was very informative about places to go and check out. Lake Barkley was beautiful and actually very warm

The camp host was extremely helpful. I am 65 years old and was camping by myself a lot of the time.

Need to update the bath house. The lights remain on all night causing the bugs to swarm and make a mess. Try making the light automatic and that way they will turn off , not attracting so many bugs!

We have enjoyed our visits in the past, but this year there were tons of mosquitoes at our site. Sitting outside the camper at sunset was not pleasant. I know they have sprayed for them in the past. Not sure what the status was for this year. I know they had budget cuts planned for LBL, so maybe that was an issue. Otherwise, camp host is great! Very personable. Bath house is well maintained.

Hurricane Creek Campground was a good location for our drive and the price was right. However we were driving a 40 foot motorhome and even though the pull-through driveway for site 42 was 100 feet long, we were not able to get our RV level, therefore unable to use our slide outs. We also had to unhook our tow, which defeated the purpose of getting a pull-through for one night enroute. There were a lot of trees which were nice for shade, but the ones on the corners of the campsite made maneuvering difficult for a 40 foot RV with tow. The site was had a very spacious picnic table area with sites being well spaced apart. The park was very quiet.
Looking around the park, we did identify a site or two that would be more level if we ever return there, with easier access.
