This place has eye- candy in all directions: idyllic setting with water and plenty of tree cover. Quiet, solitude. Birds, geese and fish to be observed or caught. The majority of the sites are very generous and well laid out with asphalt drives, fire rings and picnic tables, isolated from neighbors, Road Access around the park to sites is easy but definitely would not be not for Class C rigs. The toilet/showers are well used, dated and in need of a bit of a scrub. There is plenty of hot water. WiFi and cell service was erratic at best to non-existent. Phone calls were even problematic. This is a place to come and simply enjoy nature. There is so much nature here, we unfortunately could not stay long enough to fully explore and enjoy, but there is fishing. Verify local hiking trails when you arrive. There is little in the way of nearby services, so come stocked. All that said, this place would merit 5 stars if it weren’t for the site we stayed on: site 3. Site 3 is about half the size of most others in the park and made smaller/ worse because it overlaps /shares area with site 2 which is far too close to site 1. In most cases, this wouldn’t matter but does here because these three sites are not consistent in size, privacy and quality to any of the other sites in the park. Very disappointing to see all the other great sites and be jammed onto this one with two neighbors far to close. We would come back to this park again and again but will avoid sites 1, 2, 3.

Number 5 is a great spot. The view is great. You are able to see up the lake from 5 if no tent is on number 6 or 7. It’s worth the twelve dollars to rent the tent spot of number 6. It is about 8 ft from the camper and you can hear every word they say plus a tent is right at your side. It is too close. Tent spots rent rent mostly on weekends and this allows you to sit on number 6 and view the lake instead of tent city.

Site was so unlevel that he first step to get into the camper was a full 24". In order to make it easier to level the camper the door to the camper was well past the actual site.
