Big Rig Beware. Site 28 is long enough for a 40 ft 5th wheel, but impossible to back into due to the curve of the road. The smaller loop it sits on is also has a very tight turn with deep gullies to either side of the asphalt. The interior roads are tight. They have been been resurfaced, making them smooth but leaving deep trenches to either side, axil breaking deep. We made it around the larger loop and there were 38 footers back there, but it was tight. The dump station is on this loop and there is not adequate space to pull a big rig out of the dump station. We chose not to use it. The hosts were amazing and got us set up on a site that we could access. The park is clean and has a boat launch. It was a good stay despite the roads.

Small campground in the middle of nowhere. Not much to do. Bathhouse was pretty old and not very clean. Will not go back. Was just ok

Never disappointed when we stay, well kept the folks that manage the place are great people, a peaceful place, grandkids love it, they have a nice playground there for the kids a swimming area as well. I tell everyone it a great place and they need to go see for themselves!!

A beautiful campground and a great place to enjoy the beauty of Barkley Lake.
The camp hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The entire campground was clean and well maintained.
This will be a place we return to for sure.

Camp hosts were great! Firewood was available for purchase which was very convenient. We enjoyed our stay in site 18. Very close proximity to the playground, boat ramp and bathhouse. The bathhouse is dated but completely functional and clean. Although I didn’t use them, a pay washer and dryer was available if needed. The swimming area could use some more sand for the kids but wasn’t detrimental to our stay. Site 18 is a pull through site that had enough room for our 37 ft 5th wheel. It had lots of shade, which is great. The power pedestal is in the middle so we had to pull forward more than we would have liked due to our power connection being on the rear of our rv and unfortunately our power cord was barely long enough but luckily we were able to connect and this is no fault of the campground just a newbie mistake for not being prepared with an extension, and to let others know just in case, so if your power connection is in the rear and you have a longer rv you may need an extension if you don’t already have one and if your power is on the side it shouldn’t be an issue. Overall the campground was great and we look forward to returning in the future!
