This is the first COE park that I’m been disappointed in. The roads are narrow and the sites very close together. I drove around the “B” loop, getting to B50 and didn’t see anything level in the park. The road that cut through the loop was a sharp corner and went straight up-hill. I could have leveled in B50 if I could get in, only because I have a 5th wheel and can work the front jacks. The bushes on the side prevented proper turning and trees interfered with the roof. I could have sawed the branches from the roof but never got that far. The road was too narrow to maneuver the rig and the drop-off ditch in front just made the effort “not-worth-the-trouble”. I drove away, leaving my 3 night fees at the gate. I have a medium size rig (35’ 5th wheel Reflection and truck). Big rigs would have difficulty making the loop, much less parking. I would not recommend this park for anything larger that 25 feet. Again, close spacing between sites, no extra parking and nothing flat is a turn-off even though this parks looks good from Google Earth!

Grass was very very high! Hasn’t been cut in a couple weeks! Campground was nice, would have been very nice but when kids can’t play in the grass cause it’s almost taller then them doesn’t make for a good trip. Tell Governor Andy to take care of our parks.

Quiet place with plenty of spots. Very busy on weekends. Fills up fast. Quiet during the rest of week. Stayed here while in area working. It was my preference of the few close camping areas. Very peaceful for sure

When we started camping 10 years ago The Narrows Campground was well maintained and bathhouse was clean. I was disappointed to see how tall the grass had got before we arrived. The grass was mowed before we arrived, but the weeds around the edges were still tall. Seems like there are more campers and less being done to maintain the campgrounds. Ice being sold at the campground would be nice also. We choose to stay at The Narrows, because we have a boat at the Narrows Marinia, but I can drive from home if the grass isn't mowed and better maintained.

Campground was clean and well cared for, checking in was easy, staff was very friendly and polite. They made it feel like home! Looking forward to planning more trips to the Narrows at Barren River!

Linda is an excellent hostess, so very kind and checking on the grounds often, making everyone feel safe and welcome. The shower house was very clean! Thankful for those that work hard doing that task. Our camping experience there was excellent, having the best neighbors and already thinking about plans for next year at The Narrows~The Pirates :)

The Narrow is one of our favorite camping spots. Not to far from home and always kid friendly experience. Our children love walking to the lake and around the campgrounds meeting others. Always clean and peaceful.

Good spot we were in . A18. Bathrooms were clean. There was a view of the lake. The grass did need mowing when we arrived but did mow just before we left .
