Very nice campground. Our site was level but sunny most of the day. Lots of places for bike riding, even to Patti’s Settlement for a special lunch. We will definitely be back!

Have always enjoyed camping at Canal; this time things were a little different. There was not enough room for 2 vehicles (that was not noted on reservation site). We parked across road on what would be grass, obviously been done before because it was sorta bare. We were asked to move vehicle but no one had a good answer where to park. Finally told to park where boats are which I did and when I went to get car, there was a note taped on car saying, "This area is for boats, do not park here." It became very frustrating. Other than that, it was a great experience.

The campground itself is nice and well kept. There is an incredibly bad skunk problem. Multiple skunks sprayed tonight an hour before dark- I saw four at a campsite last trip and have seen dogs sprayed. You simply cannot be out after dark. Campground staff can be very rude, they have insulted every guest I have invited
