Wonderful hosts as soon as we arrived! We had a beautiful sight right on the water! Bathrooms were very clean and the campground itself was very clean! Would definitely love to stay again!

This was our fifth time to stay at Canal campground. Check in/out is very fast and easy. We love the campground shower house is always clean. and view of Barkly Lake is awesome.

14-days each year should be in effect. Always the same people with 2 vehicles, an RV, a boat and a golf cart for the after dinner parade. Lights there should be a 10 to 6 am rule.

The campground is accessible via Interstate I-24, with the Grand Rivers Exit 31 located nearby. From the exit, travelers can take Highway 453 south for approximately 4 miles to reach the campground.

General
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District firewood policy is now in effect and seeks the public’s cooperation to prevent the spread of forest insects and disease at campgrounds in the Cumberland River Basin. The firewood policy requires visitors at Lake Barkley’s campgrounds to use only firewood that has been certified as heat-treated by U.S. Department of Agriculture or state natural resource agency.
