Relaxing time, good fishing but a problem for years now is the big stall shower by campsite 11. The shower head sprays so far out that water goes to the drain at the shower entry door, leaving a tiny corner to dry off and get dressed, that isn't wet. Need a small catch ledge or different head that aims downward

We were happy to have a site directly on the water. When looking out the window over our sink and stove, it looked like we were IN the water! Cool mornings and warm afternoons were just about perfect.
Canal Campground is the perfect spot for a home base to explore LBL and the nearby dams and state parks. You get the sense of being away from the hustle of daily living, but close enough to restaurants and stores for last minute/emergency supplies.
The bathhouses are clean and pretty well placed in the campground. The grounds were mostly litter free and well kept. All the employees and camp hosts were friendly and helpful.

Lot 50 was not great for a tent since there was gravel to set up on. Made walking around in the tent without shoes tough. Other than that, the stay was absolutely AWESOME we will be returning very soon!
