The park offered well-maintained and tidy spaces, creating a pleasant atmosphere for visitors. While the showers were somewhat dated, they were kept clean and featured a thoughtful design. Our experience at the park was enjoyable, and we appreciated the serene environment it provided. However, one notable drawback was the presence of gas-powered golf carts, which frequently zipped around the area. The noise they generated was reminiscent of a typical Saturday at home, where neighbors simultaneously mow their lawns. It brought back memories of nights at the Shoney's drive-thru when muscle car enthusiasts would cruise round and round the parking lot. Most evenings, we found ourselves surrounded by the rumbling of these carts, often in groups of four or five, which detracted from the tranquility we sought while sitting outside. This constant interruption made it challenging to fully relax and enjoy the evening ambiance.

This is a convenient location not far off of the interstate. The campsites are spacious with beautiful views and shade. The shower house had a nice setup (doors with dressing area), but needed cleaning. I visited at the end of the day, so that could have been the reason they weren't in the best shape. Unfortunately, there were controlled burns taking place, so we could not sit outside due to the smoke - not the campground's fault. I will definitely return if I'm in the area again.
