Upon arriving we saw about 23 deer including a couple of fawns and 2 rabbits. It was simply beautiful. The campgrounds felt private and they were well maintained. The bathrooms were nice and clean. The the beach by the lake first simply gorgeous. The campground host was very helpful and friendly.

I arrived in late afternoon with no reservation. The attendant was very helpful and put me in a site near the entrance. We left early in the morning with no one at the dump station. We have stayed at this campground on previous visits to relatives in Illinois. The attendants are very helpful and friendly.

We stay at canal campground all the time. I really love fisherman's row. My favorite sites are 26, 28,30 & 31. They big level sites and I feel like I have waterfront views even with the trees. The shower house is adequate but could definitely use some updating. When I have to shower in a shower house there I usually drive over to the primitive loop and use that shower house. It's much cleaner and not very far away.
