It is a beautiful campground. Our site BR97. Browns Point said it had full shade, it had almost none until evening. Unfortunately when we went, there was a heat wave which made being there almost unbearable. We left early. Had we been in full shade like site 98, we could have stayed and enjoyed our stay. Please note that we have stayed here several times and it is a GREAT campground and very clean.

We travel full time so we see a lot of campgrounds across the country. This is one of our favorites. The camphosts and volunteers are friendly and welcoming. They worked hard to make our stay here a great experience. In the ten or so years we have been camping here we have never seen the facilities so clean and well cared for, Kudos to the maintenance staff. The KY/Barkley lake area is nothing short of a national treasure. This is a stay that shouldn't be missed.

Beautiful clean park with Great Lake view! The sight was extremely steep and not level side to side though. It was also very tight to back in because of the grade and obstacles directly next to and across from sight. We had to haul rocks to use under our stabilizers because the site required all of our blocks and then some. Not all sites seemed this steep but many were.
