Canal Campground is highly praised for its spacious and clean sites, friendly hosts, and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite among campers. Visitors enjoy the quiet atmosphere, well-maintained facilities, and opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and biking. Like the campground, but not the parade of golf carts. Some work is needed on the 'primitive' sites - new paving or patching needs to be done. Bath house was clean and water was great.

Amazing stay! Peacefully with beautiful views of the water from the Hill Loop. These sites are shaded. We enjoyed walking and seeing the wildlife.

Very clean and quite We were on 61 right by the lake. Not Canal Campgrounds fault but wish the lake had more water in it.

Check in was not very good, we have been coming to this campground for years and always had great check in experience. This time was the worst. We were told our site wasn’t empty and told we could park on a side road and we would be told when we could go to our site, after 40 minutes in the 95 degree heat I walked to the site and found it was empty and had been for hours. The people in the next site told me

The experience was great! Our family did normal camping for relaxation and rest. The only 2 things that I seen that needed improvement was a larger site to place a 10 to 12 person tent. Most sites was to small to use a tent that size leaving a few sites that accommodated, thus making me purchase another smaller tent. The other thing was at 6 every morning while we was sleeping the person cleaning the restrooms using a leaf blower causing all of us to wake up earlier than expected. Maybe use the leaf blower at 7am instead of 6am.

Wonderful park will visit again someday. It was after labor day so other than weekends not much going on. Many businesses are only open on the weekend which is a bit disappointing.
