This place is a GEM 馃拵 we got in kinda late and Tammy and her husband was so welcoming. We was going to get a tent site but we ended up getting one of the cabins. The cabin was clean and well kept. It was a great time ending spring break with our boy. Thank you guys so much for all the help and your beautiful place!! We will definitely be returning.

The only thing we disliked was the road leading to the campground. Single lane with nowhere to pull over if someone is coming from the other direction. The campground itself was very nice. Each site has plenty of room and is very quiet.

Foggy Bottom Campground in Jamestown, KY, is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy the natural beauty around Lake Cumberland, Wolf Creek Dam, and the Cumberland River.
The campground offers a peaceful, shaded setting with 19 sites, all equipped with 50-amp electrical hookups, plus essential amenities like restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.
One of the standout features is the proximity to the Cumberland River, a prime location for trout fishing. As someone who loves fly fishing, I really appreciate having such easy access to the water. The nearby boat launches makes it effortless to get out on the river. And nearby Hatchery Creek is a convenient and beautiful fishing opportunity.
The campground has a friendly, family-owned vibe that makes the experience even better. The owners are welcoming and clearly take pride in maintaining the grounds. The owners, Boyce and Tammy Elza, are incredibly gracious and have worked hard to make this a safe place of peace and comfort. Whether you鈥檙e an RV camper or prefer pitching a tent, you鈥檒l find plenty of space and quiet to enjoy.
If you鈥檙e looking for a campground that combines convenience, natural beauty, and a welcoming atmosphere, Foggy Bottom Campground is well worth a visit. It鈥檚 the perfect base for exploring the area or just relaxing by the fire after a day on the water.

My brother and I have been taking my son's up there to stay at Foggy Bottom for years now when we go to fish the cumberland. We come up from NC. The owners always go out of their way to accommodate us in any way they can. They are very pleasant and eager to make the campground pleasant. We usually stay in the bunk house but have stayed in other cabins as well as camped. They dont bother you, you just enjoy peace and quiet the entire time your there. You just cant ask for any better for just a relaxing stay in the wilderness, good people, quiet place, cool, close to fishing, or hunting. What else is there? In fact we will be headed that way in a couple weeks!

We stayed at the Turkeys Roost mid August and it was great, clean and perfect for a couple with two bunk beds in addition. It's set up on the hillside surrounded by trees. Pictures are accurate. Jenny was great and allowed us an little early check in. Located very close to the dam and Hatchery Creek it was just right for a fishing trip. They sell a nice chunk of wood for $5 for the fire pit just down around the corner at the camp ground store. The store has some basics and some fishing supplies. It's not a hotel room, it's campy which was cool. You'll need an SUV or pickup to get up the 70 yard drive up there. It's a little rough for a car. We'll be back.
