What Guests Are Saying
Eureka campground offers a peaceful and well-maintained environment with beautiful views of the lake, spacious campsites, and friendly, helpful staff. Many visitors appreciated the cleanliness of the facilities and the tranquil atmosphere, making it a favorite spot for return visits. Some minor drawbacks include narrow access roads and the need for upgrades to the shower facilities, but overall, guests enjoyed their stays and expressed a desire to return.

We checked in on 6/15. We had site 15. There were two big mud holes at the front of the site. I was told twice that gravel would be brought in and cover the mud and water. We left on 6/20, still no gravel. We had rain during the week , our site was under water several times. Water standing in the mud holes. This was our first experience at this campground, very dissatisfied.

We love Eureka for trips with our grandchildren and also for just the two of us. The beach is well maintained and the playground is fun. We love to just take a walk around the area with our grandkids or ride our electric bikes when it is just us two. (Too many hills to ride regular bikes). Can’t beat the scenery. The campground host have become friends through all the years we have camped here. We make our reservations exactly 6 months before we want to go. It is such a great place it’s hard to get in. The sites are placed so that it feels like you don’t have neighbors. We love it!!!

The site was large and near the water. Camp ground was clean and the people at the gate were friendly.

I hate to rate this only a three, as we love this campground as a whole. If you plan to use this site as a pull-thru, you might want to think again. We were a little over 6" off level at the flattest spot on the site we could find. One of the camp hosts, who were wonderful and went far beyond the call of duty, came by while we were attempting to get level asked if we had extensions for our electricity and water hose, which we did. He suggested that we back into the living area of the site and helped move the picnic table and direct us into place. Later, after setting up, our water hose was a little stretched, so he offered to lend us a 6' hose he had. That was greatly appreciated! Also, when we arrived, it was in the middle of a downpour and the position of the site between a hill and the lake made the entire site flooded. After the rain stopped, most of the water quickly dissipated, leaving a few areas of mud at the front of the site. One last problem with this site is if there is a lot of sun, you'll need to bring some kind of cover, as there is very little natural shade.
One of the good things about this site is the view. It's right on the water. It is also right in front of the bath house, so that was really convenient. We'll definitely be coming back to Eureka, but will probably be looking at a different site.
