We are Tent campers. This campground is definitely geared toward RV camping as all sites have gravel, no dirt. All tents have to be staked on the gravel. That being said, most sites have the smaller gravel, pebbles really. However, site 02 (the one we stayed at) & site 01 (partially) has large gravel, rocks effectively. Luckily we sleep on blow up mattresses, but def put down two thick pads under our tent. It was not very comfortable just walking around the site for our med sized dog. We checked other sites and all of them (other than 01, 02) had the much smaller pebbles. Another 'ding' is that sites are small. The table, fire ring and tent are pretty close together after parking a car on the site.
With all that said, the lake view, Camp Hosts, Bathrooms, surrounding beauty, other campers were excellent. Since we know now which sites would make a better spot for Tent camping, we will def be back to enjoy this campground again and so recommend it to everyone.
