Many of bath houses on the map are not there. The one on Deer Run had been torn down and a sign stated they were building another one. I picked my site to be close to that shower house. There was a restroom in Deer Run but it had no hot water nor soap. You had to drive past another none existent shower to get to an actual “working” one, but no hot water and a harsh stream that shot out of the shower stall. For a single traveler crossing the country this was the wrong fit for me. Short family gathering trips appear to be the norm at this campground!

Eureka is a small but well cared for campground. We stayed at a pull through site directly on the shore of Kentucky Lake. Electric and water only. The bathhouse was clean but old. We had Verizon and Cricket cell service. We would stay there again.

The camp host was super nice and very informative! The site was great. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that it was almost impossible to back the camper into site 9!

We love Eureka Campground. We come here at least twice a summer depending on availability. The campground fills up fast, so you really must book early. We catch more catfish in Lake Barkley than in any other lake around this area. The host at this campground, Susan and Arnold are the best camp host ever!

There are so may good sites at this campground its hard to pick a favorite because they all have great views of the lake to watch the barge traffic and all the boats also fishing is excellent. There are 2 boat ramps and a large day use area that would be good for picnins and reunions. There is no camp store or laundry but the bath hous is large and clean. Easy to navigate as there is only one road. We camp here several times a year. We just wish the season was longer to enjoy the colors of fall.
