Other than having no shade and being hot, thru no fault of ACE. The park was 5 star and the view from site # 5 was breathtaking especially at sunset.

This was the best campground I have ever been to! We traveled from Michigan and didn't really know what to expect. The campground is REALLY CLEAN! It is also really quiet and serene. Just what we were hoping for! All the sites are close to the water. Its impossible to get a bad site, just preferable ones! Kentucky changed the price on out of state fishing licenses, which are 15$ per day now, but the fishing on Barkley Lake was worth it! We had a huge fish dinner our second night there thanks to that lake. It has a very small beach area and small playscape for the kids, as this place is geared towards the retired crowd. We were told that there is a campground on the other side of the lake geared more for the families with younger kiddos. But this place is wonderful either way. The bathrooms were immaculate and the staff are beyond friendly and accommodating. It is my favorite campground now!
