Laurel Branch is a beautiful and peaceful campground with attentive staff and clean facilities, making it a great spot for family camping. While some areas, like fire pits and bathrooms, could use more regular upkeep, the campground's scenic views and proximity to activities such as fishing and kayaking are highlights. Overall, many visitors express a desire to return despite minor issues, appreciating the friendly atmosphere and convenient location.

I took a glow cart because I didn't know that they were not allowed and was very rudely told I couldn't have it there. I told the attendant it would not be moved i didn't know. I told him that rule needs to be changed. He said "Good luck but I dont see that happening. Then multiple times we were told to not ride it. The first thing you see is overgrown weeds by the entry shack. Laurel Branch used to be the best campground but now I wouldn't go there if you paid me.

We’ve been camping at rough River for 12 years, mostly Laurel branch and we love it. We both enjoy fishing and the relaxation. We really hope laurel branch doesn’t go to a privatize vendor though, if that were to happen it would break our budget with the additional costs. Keep it Corps!

we had site 5 although the site up front are nice it has a main road right by it so traffic was annoying the beach is public there was nobody at the shack barely ever saw them out. the hiking trail needs better maintenance lake was extremely low the bathrooms was actually clean for most part. Its probably not a spot we would go back to just cause didnt feel very friendly you cant ride any golf carts or anything while the attendees rode around on electric bikes when you did see them alot of the spots said unavailable but i never saw anybody come in kinda felt like they didn't want anybody there so just said it was unavailable this campground has potential just needs better management

Awesome as always!
Maybe someone could talk to old Barney Fife on the bike tho. Let him know he can relax a little bit. Camping isnt that serious!
See ya next year 😊
