Moffit Lake Recreation Area

My husband, my daughter, our 2 grandkids and myself just spent 3 nights and 4 days here at Moffit Lake Campground. It is amazing!! We had the best time!! The scenery and lakes are beautiful!!! We rented kayaks and spent the day floating!!! They have a small store that has everything and they have the best pizza ever!!!! The employees are so friendly! I cant say enough good about Moffit Lake! We will definitely be back soon!!! Thank you so much Moffit Lake!!!💙

We are headed home now. We were here 6 nights. Absolutely Beautiful campground and the cleanest shower houses ever!! They are all private and smelled fresh every morning when I went in. The views were gorgeous. This was a very quiet campground. My husband really enjoyed all the fishing. We will definitely be back!!

Too many rules now. Can’t stay if you have more than 2 dogs. And if your dog weighs more than 35lbs you also can’t stay. This place used to be nice but now it’s extremely lame.

The campground is a beautiful place! It is, for the most part, a quiet, peaceful place to stay. The fishing is included in the camp reservation, otherwise you pay to fish. They have two bath houses, with two bathrooms and one shower. The door is not very privacy minded. They have two nice playgrounds, a shop at the check in area, two dump stations, a smaller trail and kayaks/paddle boats to rent. There are spots to camp right along the bank, which is perfect for the fisherman.
The only reason I am giving this place a 4 star out of 5 is because when help was needed with an unruly neighbor, no help was to be found. They give you a sheet with a promise to handle things and three numbers to call, only no body picked up on either. Disappointing! It ruined part of our stay, having drunken people blast their music is not a good way to spend a Saturday evening.

We found this place by accident but are very glad we did. The park is now run by the county and is beautiful. Nice lake and great views. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay went without any problems. If you are in the area or just passing through, check it out. You'll be happy you did.
