Pros: Host, Don, is awesome!! Super nice guy to chit chat with as well as extremely helpful with assisting in getting rv’s into the tight sites. Very pretty campground with partial views of water. Behind site 11 is the best view and a walkway down to the water. Restrooms were very clean.
Cons: The entire campground is on a hill but the sites are level. You are entering sites on a downward hill to back up into sites. We have a 35 foot fifth wheel which was really rough to get into site 3 due to the narrow road. There is a drain ditch along the road which is extra inconvenient to maneuver around when backing into sites. Our parents have a 27 foot trailer that was tight backing into site 5 as well. Larger campers would be much better off using sites 12-30 on the other side rather than 1-11. The campground really needs to extend the pavement in this area. The dump station is in a horrible location on a slanted hill which would make it nearly impossible to completely empty tanks. We used our portable dump tote to empty here for that reason. Sites are pretty close together. The water is viewable, not accessible, from each site (except site 11).

A little slice of heaven. Mr Cummins is an excellent attendant and helps get you in your spot. They’ll lose a gem when he retires.

Don was a wonderful host. In fact everyone was great! It was our first time tent camping in KY and it was my birthday. The campground is very nice only wish the bathrooms had a fan. It was very hot that weekend. We will definitely recommend it and be back in the future

The host was super, very helpful. The facilities were clean. We rented boat from Conley Bottom and they picked us up at the campground dock, which is fairly steep to walk up and down to it. They need to have a few boat slips for overnight campers! The reservation says only certain wood can be burned, but there was only a few pieces of scraps available at the park. You could drive about 5 miles to purchase some from a local. The corps needs to step up and stock some wood…. Site 2 was fine for us. Site 4 was really large and had the open woods area to walk a dog. site 11 had the lake view. I watched folks struggle to get their campers backed up and into their locations. Overall good experience.
