We love Cumberland point, we had another great weekend with friends and family. This year we rented in our group 6 campsites.
The only negative to Cumberland point is, it is shocking that they don’t sell ice on site. There is no reason why with as many campsites as they have that they don’t sell ice.

Site’s and camp ground are clean and well maintained. Lack of ice machine is disappointing. Cell service also a problem

We had site number 12, tent only. The space was kind of cozy but we made it work for the 4 of us and a dog. The absolute best thing is that it’s right on the lake with a boat ramp. We parked the truck and the boat in the parking lot and my wife’s SUV at the campsite. There was no way to fit both in.

I might as well keep going with the plus’s. The campers bath house was very clean as well as all the campsites. The boating bath house gets a little more used by the public and isn’t as clean as the day goes on. The camp hosts are very nice and they do a great job. There is a trash disposal shed so anytime you want, just drop it off. All of the sites had fine crushed stone and are pretty much level despite it being so hilly. If you don’t have a boat, no worries, there is a rock beach area that’s a short walk down a trail. It’s a spot you can enjoy all day.

Now with the negative's. It’s very hilly. As in steep grades. Those who are not in good shape will be challenged by the hills. The bath houses are in need of a fan. It was always hot and humid inside. The showers are powerful but you can’t control the temperature. It’s a very hot shower. I brought a battery powered fan into the shower area to keep me cool as I dried off. Make sure you secure all of your food and garbage when it gets dark. The raccoons are very bold and will enter your campsite with you sitting at the fire. They took my dog’s food right off the picnic table as we were sitting around the fire, 10 feet away. Ahh, the Goliath picnic table, a beast of a thing. Not good to sit at, just in the way and we couldn’t move it, too heavy. On our site, the water tap was very leaky. It created a river of water. It was hard to operate too, needs replacing. The road can get very busy and no one paid attention to the speed limit and the slow signs, boaters would fly down the road to the boat ramp.

Overall, we had a great time. I would come back again. I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
