Off The Hook RV Campground

Local to the area this is our favorite campsite, clean and well maintained with good playground for the kids.

Was a fine and peaceful place to stop. Kids and I saw lightning bugs at night. The rope park was alot of fun for everyone. We spent every evening playing out there. Nice deck available for use too. They dont have on site porcelain/showers/laundry as of late April 2026. There are some blue johns available. The facilities were under construction. Looks like they'll be up and running this summer/fall at the latest. Call ahead if thats a factor for you.

I really love this campground. It is one of the best "Mom and Pop" campgrounds that I have stayed at. The staff is wonderful, and the campground is always in beautiful condition. I didn't have a reservation, but they were able to work me in to a spot for one night, and it was great. Thanks for having such a great place!

We booked two sites for three nights with family.
The staff, especially Angie was incredibly kind, gracious, accommodating and pleasant to work with.
The grounds and sites were level, mostly clean and FHU.
The restrooms/laundry/bathhouses are a work in progress and not completed yet.
The location is near many services, restaurants, Lake Cumberland and Mill Springs National Monument.
The campground lays out nicely and is attractive.
Overall, a nice place and we enjoyed our stay.

Some things to be aware of:
The groundskeeper while cutting grass threw debris and rocks all over your rig and gear while cutting.
No bathrooms.
Gravel road and sites.
One of our electric pedestals fluctuated on the high end of a safe range.
A few long term residents and it shows by appearance and conduct.
Farms on both sides that are very active this time of year but very quiet at night.
Lost water pressure for a few hours, apparently due to city/county waterline work near location.
These are just some observations that we encountered but in no way influences our opinion of this welcoming campground and its superlative staff.
We enjoyed our stay, highly recommend it to others and will frequent here very often this coming year.

I spent 3 weeks at OTH and I couldn’t be happier with my experience! Angie was so kind & quick to respond even in the midst of a snow and ice storm. My granddaughter loved the playground, even in the snow. I will definitely be going back in sunnier weather.
