Fern Lake Campground

Fern Lake is a lovely RV Park with a very pretty lake view. Many of the spaces are pull through and will accommodate large rigs. My husband has lived here for the last couple of years full time while he works in Kentucky. The staff (Billie and Ben) have been great hosts in that time.

I found the campground to be very nice and clean. It was a wonderful surprise to find such a well-maintained spot in this location.

I appreciated how much the facility has to offer, including the lake, pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, and laundry room. The snack facility with pizza and wings was also a great addition.

My only suggestion would be to consider planting some trees around the children's playground and the tennis courts for added shade.

Our first visit to Paducah and Fern Lake Campground. We chose a back-in, full hook- up site adjacent to the lake/pond. The manager gave us a hint to pull into our site as there was plenty of room and then the hook-ups would be on the correct side…and yes I found this odd as I thought all trailers were the same! We booked site 51, and found it very nice. We did not have neighbors but if we would have we felt we had enough space. We prefer the camping feel (trees and space) over the parking lot feel (rows of pull-through) but this park satisfies both trends. They have a very nice laundry room with new, stacked washer/dryers that take credit cards. $1.75 a load. The location gave us easy access to Paducah, hiking in Illinois as well as a visit to Metropolis and the largest Superman sculpture! I highly recommend if you’re in the area, book Fern Lake Campground.

Staff were helpful. We ended up asking for a shady site instead of full sun and they found one. Special plus was it was level as soon as we parked. Shower temp and pressure were awesome. Lastly, laundromat had newer very clean machines that were reasonably priced. They only took credit card payment and no quarters.

I had a great experience camping at Fern Lake Campground. The site was clean and electric/water worked great. They have an area in the back of the campground with a lake and large mowed area to walk dogs or just have a peaceful walk. They are close to I-57, easy on/off of highway.
Will definitely stay with them again when in Paducah.
