What Guests Are Saying

Adventure Bound Eagle Valley offers a beautiful, remote setting ideal for those seeking solitude, though it faces significant challenges. Many guests reported issues with staff professionalism and campground maintenance, including outdated facilities and poor cleanliness in restrooms. While some appreciated the Halloween festivities and spacious sites for larger rigs, the overall consensus suggests that improvements are needed for a more enjoyable experience.

Family and I had a great weekend at this campground. I only had two bad experiences that I would like to note. 1 fishing was horrible. Not sure if the ponds are stocked, but we fished for quite a while and never got a single bite 2. The bathhouse closest to our campsite was absolutely horrible. Raw sewage running in the floor and the showers had no temperature control. One knob and scalding hot was the only temp. Hopefully this in not always like this.

First the camp is out in the middle of no where. The roads to get to the campground was small and the bridge we came to was only 9tons. Which we are over the weight limit so we had to unhook our Jeep and drive our RV backwards down a dirt road. When we finally arrived, nobody was there. Even tho the website states 9-9p office hours. There was no sewage hook up and the water is so far away from our site. Our water horse barely reached. Next our boys went to look at the pool. It was dirty and the water slide was not on. (Not stated on the website) We only stayed for an hour then left. Horrible place to stay would not recommend

Would not recommend unless you want to totally unplug. Cell service is basically non-existent, no wifi, water connections are centered in between sites so you need a very long hose, dump station is located back within the permanent sites not near the campground exit as is typical (plus the freshwater did not work). Sites were big and open if you have a big rig. The campground is VERY remote so plan on a 15 min drive to get to anything outside. Staff was courteous.

The ride to the campground was beautiful but the roads were small and a bit sketchy for hauling a camper. There was a bridge that the weight limit was 9 tons so we had to find an alternate route. We arrived at 5pm on a Thursday and there was no attendant or anything at the store to help you check in. The lot I was on (68) was grass only and the water spigot is a lengthy distance behind the camper, grateful we had a long water hose. The playgrounds are a bit outdated and the shower house was extremely disgusting. Water was backed up from the drains with a horrid smell. There was used rags and trash laying around the bathroom. The attendant at the store was rude when we inquired about renting a golf cart. She was extremely unhelpful and acted as if we were an annoyance. The Halloween festivities held on Saturday were the highlight of the trip, you could tell the campers put alot of effort into decorating, passing out treats etc. there is little to no cell signal and the closest town is 15-20 minutes away. I enjoyed the quiet solitude of the small community, I just wish they would update the campground and clean it up a bit.

I stayed at Adventure Bound campground from April 10–12, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.

The biggest issue was the staff—particularly the supervisor—who came across as rude and unprofessional. Customer service makes a huge difference in any stay, and this immediately set a negative tone for the entire weekend.

The campground itself appears very run down and poorly maintained. It did not match expectations and made the stay uncomfortable overall.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to be honest so others know what to expect. I also attempted to address my concerns directly and request a refund, which was refused.

The only positive part of the experience was leaving on Sunday.

I would not recommend staying here, and I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements.
