Mixed feelings. Park is very quite and sites are easy to get in and out off. Mostly concrete sites. However the park is not maintained. Hot tub was not working. 110 outlet was not working so could not use heated hose. Restaurants staff is so sweet. I recommend the Roast beef. Everything else is really salty. Owner is very nice. Pricing is not an exact science...negotiations are recommend. I would go back if I was in the area. Bath house and laundry room seemed okay. No amenities and nothing for kids.

Stayed in back-in fhu spot #37 in the back for 3 nights. This area has level concrete slabs. Backs up to a small pond. Quiet spot. When I got there, I called the number to the RV Park as there is no office and restaurant was closed. (FYI they have this one and Sugar Hill RV down the road so make sure where you're booking when making reservation) Guy who runs it is super friendly. He advised where to go and pick a spot. I found 37 had the best signal for wi-fi. Wi-fi allowed me to work but not all spots are equal. No cable but hook-up for digital channels. Only could get channels to come through only half the time though. The recreation building is on the northside (left) of property in back and has books and pool table, kitchen and such. There's a porch swing in front. The bathrooms with showers are next to the rec bldg. #1 has the best showerhead though the showerpan looks a bit rough, #2 has a bit of mold on the drop ceiling so I avoided that one, and #3 the showerhead doesn't fully spray properly. But they are nice and big bathrooms. The laundry area is located in the building behind the Rec. Room. On the property is the plantation house that you are welcomed to tour the first floor. There's s nice porch swing in front of that too. In the back of the house is a big fountain. Liked the rainbow turtle on the edge spitting water into it. Across the way there is a pool and hot tub. Though I don't believe the hot tub was working. The pool looked nice. Just a bit of debris on the bottom but very clear yet cold. Nice waterfall that cascades into it too. There is a restaurant in front called Crevasse. They are open Wednesday through Saturday. Even says there is live music on the weekends. I wasn't there for the music but did get a carryout on a Wednesday. I found out that the menu online is not what is offered as there are no daily specials and not the same desserts offered so go and see a menu at the restaurant before you get your heart set on something. Tried the fried fish combo with an onion ring upgrade and a drink. You get a ton of food for the price. It was good. The hush puppies tasted a bit burnt though. Spoke to another customer there and he said the roast beef sandwich was really good. All and all it was a good stay. Fun fact, if you're not staying at the RV park, can still use the pool for $10/day pay at the restaurant. Probably super nice in the hot summers. The RV Park like the restaurant is cash or if using a credit card there is surcharges.

Hyundai Steel Plant in Donaldsonville, LA is where I will be working 4 years so I researched parks for safe, easy drive and clean with amenities. I choose Poche Plantation about 15 minutes from work and it's a beautiful historic park with a nice pool and restaurant. Really too many amenities to mention. I am well satisfied staff is engaging and friendly. This park will fill up fast with all the workers coming in for this project, so I'm glad I choose early. I will recommend to my co-workers.

Beautiful scenery. Located directly across the street from the Mississippi River. Watching the ships is amazing. The restaurant on property has good homemade scratch cooking. Laundry room, clubhouse, and swimming pool are very well kept. Always clean. Park is quiet with a chill vibe. Only negative is trees need trimming in order to enjoy any spot. Dead branches falling on RV is never good. No branches have fallen during our stay ...just a concern. Overall an exceptional stay
