L'Acadie Inn and RV Park

I loved staying the weekend with my dad and siblings nice lady’s who work their we weren’t able to check the entire place out bc we went go to other things but the entire time I was there it was nice

Owners not very friendly. They did not acknowledge Good Mornings. They did not speak and seemed to be bothered with guests. Desk clerk was accomodating and helpful. Pool was clean, room could have been cleaner. Quiet invironment. Overall stay was satisfactory.

This review is for a unplanned stay 17 years ago. My wife and I were evacuating due to a storm in the Gulf. We were travelling from New Orleans towards Texas and avoided the Interstate as it was clogged. The couple who owns the place came to know that we did not find a place to stay. They allowed us to rest in their home for few hours hoping there might be a cancellation and a room came available for us to rent. They were ready to give a room from their home as the other motels in the area were out of rooms as well. It was very kind gesture that we appreciate and grateful for the kindness. We also met the owners mom who helped us to relocate to the room when it came available. We had a peaceful evening and we dined at the Chatterbox diner in the area who were also very accomodating cooking special food for my wife who could not eat spicy or food with fat because of a temporary medical condition due to her pregnancy. If my memory serves right they were law students who got recently married and started the business at that time.

I never had any issues before with this place I stay here when I visit my family. This was nothing like that. The air conditioning didn’t work properly and there was not enough towels they have their minor children working for them. There were 15 kids to a room drinking and making noise next door and then when I complained the owner apologized but when I left for a couple hours I came back to being locked out and she apologized again saying it was a mistake only to mention she found a towel that I used to clean fruit punch with, I then explained again that she didn’t have any reason to go into my room and at 11:30 pm she told me I had to leave with my one year old when I asked why she said I had an attitude. This is unacceptable I’m a guest and a customer. I did nothing to deserve this. Not only that but the pool was green the room was not properly cleaned and they didn’t put trash bags in the trash cans she just didn’t want to address the issues. I would not recommend this place for anyone.

I recently stayed at this inn for the Labor day Holiday. The rooms a very nice and the beds where very comfortable. The pool was clean and very enjoyable. The family that owns this Inn was very wonderful and willing to help with whatever they could. I have stayed in this area on a couple of other occasions , this was by far the best experience I have had. For me they beat the national chains, will stay there again anytime.
