Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Breaux Bridge

We didn’t stay in a room and we’ve not required room service, other than trash pick up but everything’s been great so far.
The service at the bar has been really great! Kailey Jones is so sweet and so helpful with deciding on what to drink! her drinks were great

My family & I visited on the first weekend of August. We figured since it was a random weekend & not a holiday it would be less crowded. We were WRONG. We absolutely love camping at this RV park but we could not enjoy ourselves because there were so many people. I arrived at the pool as soon as it opened and every chair was full within 30 secs. There was only a few umbrellas by the pools…the pools are so packed full of people. It seemed like there were no rules for the kids either…even though the pool were packed they were still diving & flipping in the pools. It was just very over stimulating. I WISH over time they would either add more pools or a lazy river. We love the park it’s just too many people.

I arrived slightly after 2:00 PM. I was informed that check-in is not until 3:00 PM, which is acceptable to me. I proceeded to my room at 3:00 PM and inquired with the cleaning staff about obtaining the room code, as the front desk had not provided it yet. The cleaning staff informed me that the room had not been cleaned. This situation is quite inconvenient, as I have six children and a dog, and my youngest child is only six months old. I asked for another room and she stated nothing was available. They don’t give a heads up before you arrive or anything. I go in to check the status and was waiting for about 20 minutes no response. My baby is fussy and wants a nap, I have food in the car that needs to stay cold. And there is nothing they can do but say you can go enjoy the pool. Well in order to do that we have to unpack the car which obviously we can’t. I’m just frustrated at this morning point and for the amount of money that my husband and I paid we can’t even enjoy it. I asked for a refund and she stated the manager will call. This is unacceptable. I went to the pool area and the guy stated that dogs are not allowed, so I’m not understanding what’s the issue. So I then asked for a refund and she said a store credit can be done. I said I no longer want to stay because at this point I have 6 angry kids my 6 month old is cranky and tired. She cancels the room. I went back 5 minutes later to ask if I can get the room cause I would have stayed. She stated the room was given to someone else already. The assistant manager said that she requested a refund and I should receive it in a few business days. Now I have to find somewhere else to bring my children for vacation. I will call in the morning.

Goodness. I hate writing this review bc the atmosphere and the location to my home is great. The food is actually really good as well. It unfortunately was the service and mainly the multiple times of very poor communication. The pricing vs what you get is very off. Many many examples of poor communication. 1. Ordering food- it took over an hour to get, closer to an hour and a half which would have been fine if someone just communicated that to us. 2. Golf cart rental -VERY expensive but we needed to cancel and they said we could only get credit- they did not explain what the credit went to or didn’t until it was too late. We figured we could use it on food, nope. One year good towards your next stay only, if we knew we would have kept it. 3. Cabana - VERY expensive- they never communicated where it would be- it was in the kid section, we did not need that. They also say it comes with service …I guess very bad service, another hour wait for French fries. Due to rising prices and poor communication we will not be returning. One amazing staff member deserves a shout out CANDACE thank you for caring:)

We had an amazing stay at Camp Margaritaville in Breaux Bridge! The new pool was AMAZING!! The staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. A special thank you to Mckenzie and Hugh for their outstanding hospitality and friendly service. They truly helped make our stay memorable with their positive attitudes and willingness to assist whenever needed. We can’t wait to be back!
