Holbrook Park

Very disappointed. Strays were there, hungry. My dogs are very protective and I was so afraid a fight would ensue. Needless to say I am a dog advocate and I did feed the dog away from my pups. There was also a cat on the loose that was making my dogs go crazy. Not an enjoyable experience. Also word to the warning..stay away from site 5..can't tell you how many times my grandchildren ran into an electrical line going straight through the site. Although many trashcan, the site was nasty and as always I try and leave any area used better than I find it. Insult to injury and final statement..I received a call from park manager accusing me of leaving one of my dogs behind. I went with three animals and came home with three animals. He threatened to call the sheriff and I invited him to do so. Perhaps if so called manager got of his couch he would be more aware of what transpired at this park.

This place is beautiful! The restrooms and showers are clean, very friendly staff. My big dog loved it and he was very welcome. The scenery is gorgeous and the tent camping area is clean usually, though the last time i was here the woods smelled like old shrimp im assuming from the weekend campers. I'm editing to say it was very loud this morning.Woke up at 7am to some men working on a tractor banging a flippin hammer. Really not happy as this is a CAMPSITE for RELAXING and RESTING supposedly. It's also loud at night when the boys with loud trucks start cruising the roads. But it's still a beautiful place to come.

Nice, clean quiet...has boat ramp and kayak launch area...covered benches, small playground. Buildings to rent for events...RV areas and tent camping areas...for rent
I enjoy taking a chair and just going to sit out there after a busy workweek..🫶

Great park to enjoy some time away.
Playground, fishing, boat ramp, camping sites and full hookup rv sites and a dump station. It also had bathrooms, ducks, and a cool breeze that blows off the bayou. We've stayed here twice, but never caught a fish. Maybe next time.

Beautiful place,great play area for kids. The only negative was the humidity, and the restrooms needed some kind of air flow it was so hot in them.
