I've stayed in the lakeside cabins a couple times and a tent site. Although I haven't stayed at The Big Moose Inn, I have been inside and its very nice. (Don't expect the Ritz Carlton, you're in the north Maine woods).

We stayed at the Big Moose to wait for and then celebrate my husband’s finish of his thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. The staff were welcoming both at the Inn and the restaurant/bar! We had an amazing celebration! Thank you !!!

Booked a campsite and ended up switching it because not many people were staying in the campground (late September). Staff were cool with us being more remote as we didn't mind walking. Wifi was great at the store. Awesome trip for my son's 18th birthday!

Stayed at the campground for one night while visiting for a whitewater rafting trip. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the campsite and bathrooms were clean, and it was well labeled and easy to find our site. We ate dinner at the inn restaurant and sat on the upstairs patio. The food was great and staff was also friendly and accommodating.

I had a wonderful experience. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful Maine experience in the North Woods near Baxter (BSP). Staff were kind, warm, and open with suggestions of day hikes, food, and outdoor experiences.

I almost rented a suite and didn’t rent a room, but I’m glad I did. The shared bathrooms were okay. It worked out better for my wallet. 😊I was grateful for a fan & air conditioner in my room. Helped greatly with humidity.
