Pleasant River Campground

“We just got back from the most wonderful week at this family campground in the Maine mountains, and we’re already planning our next trip. The sites are spacious and private, nestled among tall pines with incredible mountain views. We loved the clean swimming pool although alittle too chilly for this week, and evening campfire with s’mores!
The owners are genuinely kind and helpful, always ready with trail/river recommendations or firewood! The bathrooms were spotless ,and the store had plenty of supplies if needed. It’s the perfect mix of peaceful nature and family-friendly amenities. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a real Maine mountain escape!”. While we did not stay here, we called to see if we could use their showers for a fee and the owners gladly allowed us to. The bathroom facilities were immaculate (and so so welcome after 4 days of camping without showers) and what we saw of the campground while driving through was absolutely beautiful. Would definitely stay here the next time we come up!

Awesome campground to spend some time. Really nice campsite on the river. The new owner is really kind. She takes time for her guest, she even gave us some cupcakes !

Nice campground. Very clean. Was surprised how many campers were wedged in by the weekend. Not my usual scene. There are more secluded type spots which thankfully we had. One thing that seemed odd was that there was the obvious rule not to cross through people's campsites but I couldn't see any way through to the bathroom. It was confusing!

We just stayed 2 nights last weekend and were completely impressed.

*Facilities were spotless clean including the pool
*all lots were well groomed
*staff were incredibly nice and went above and beyond
*centralized play ground and general layout made the campground feel like a weekend community

My 4 year old son is still talking about how much fun he had. You guys have something special at pleasant river campground. Keep up the awesome work.
