What Guests Are Saying

Many visitors are excited about the new ownership and potential improvements for Thomas Point Beach & Campground, particularly for accommodating larger RVs. However, some have expressed frustration over restricted access to the beach, as the entrance was barricaded and required camping reservations, leading to disappointment for those hoping for a public experience. Went for their open house. We look forward to what the new owners have planned for this beautiful property full of potential. Hard to find good places to go with big RVs. We're excited to return next year.

Tried to visit twice this summer and the entrance was barricaded off both times. No indication online that there would not be public access to the beach.

This used to be a beautiful public beach - now barricaded off and apparently sold off. In what world is it OK to prevent locals from accessing public land? Call your representatives NOW. This is unacceptable. Corporate greed is sick.

What a wonderful day to go out and celebrate all the beauty Maine has to offer. So grateful for these opportunities with my best friend, Brody Chicken Coyote. 🐾❣️

Drove out hoping to cool off, but found the gate closed and learned the beach is only accessible with a camping reservation. It wasn’t clearly listed anywhere ahead of time. Saw others show up and turn around too. On a hot day, it’s hard knowing this beautiful shoreline isn’t publicly accessible. Hoping for more transparency—and more shared spaces for everyone to enjoy.
