We have been coming to Maine Forest Yurts for nearly a decade. It has grown from a relaxing couple's retreat to a family destination. Situated on 100 wooded acres the grounds offer everything you need to unplug and get away - hiking, canoeing, and swimming. In the winter months sledding, ice skating and cross country skiing trails. The yurts are incredibly comfy and well stocked with everything you need and nothing you don't. The Crowley Family are amazing hosts and really great people. Can't recommend enough!!

A perfect Maine glamping getaway!
Maine Forest Yurts is one of my favorite places to escape and recharge. The yurts are cozy, clean, and set right on peaceful Runaround Pond; the ideal spot for a relaxing nature retreat.
The owners, Page, Bob, and Peggy, are incredibly kind and thoughtful, and it shows in every part of the experience. If you're looking for yurt camping in Maine or a quiet place to unwind in the woods, this is the place to go.

Great space for some time away with friends or family. We had two teens and a five year old with us. All five fit great in The yurt. We enjoyed the deck at Zen Den when BBQing. We played and swam at the pond. The kayaks and canoes were a nice treat. We used them to go up and down Runabout Pond. There is no electricity, which we thought was great. There are only outhouses and outside showers for toileting and hygiene stuff, but it worked great for us. A little smelly, but that’s to be expected. Not too far from Portland and really close to Freeport. We seriously have no complaints. The owners are super friendly!

Our stay was nothing short of amazing. My family had a great time relaxing all weekend. Thank you so much for giving us a free stay because my wife and I are Veterans. I look forward to returning.

My family rented 3 of the yurts for a weekend and had an amazing time. The yurts were warm and cozy from the moment we arrived. The boys had fun sledding, running around the trails and walking on the ponds. We enjoyed family meals, all in one yurt, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Page, Bob and Peg all greeted us and showed us around the property. We saw several bald eagles and heard a few owls talking back and forth at night. It was the perfect family getaway, connecting with eachother and nature.
