Hemlock Grove Campground is a well-maintained and clean facility with spacious, wooded sites, a pristine bathhouse, and friendly owners. Many guests appreciated the quiet atmosphere and central location, making it easy to access nearby attractions. However, some reviews mentioned a lack of activities for children and a demographic that may not suit everyone's camping preferences.

Very nice campground! You can tell right away that this is a well cared for place. The sites are good sized and wooded. The bathroom with shower along with the laundry room is very clean. The owners were very kind. We had been traveling for 5 days by the time we arrived and this was by far the nicest place we had stayed so far on our way to Maine. We would come back for sure as not only is the campground nice but you can easily get to Kennebunk, Portland Head, Orchard Beach, etc.

Enjoyable stay at this campground. Clean, quiet, private sites. Roads and sites in the campground are easy to navigate and well maintained. No pool but there is a small play set and basketball court for kids - locations is central to everything so it's an easy drive to the beach. My kids were able to easily ride their bikes around the grounds as well. Clean bathhouse with toilets, showers and laundry. Would come back!

“ THIS IS LIKE A NURSING HOME”
We came in as a seasonal member, paid $5,000 up front, and realized really quick that this place was for people 65+. The owner claims she’s a business woman but has 0 business woman abilities. She should have never allowed us to stay here, and never put us in between 6-8 lots that were housed with senior citizens that were absolutely awful people. They were clicky like we were in high school, and complained about any noise even if it was 3 in the afternoon. This was our first year as a family with our new camper, so this was an awful experience. No noise during the day, no game playing because of the noise of the boards, people with windows opened listening to all your conversations, and the owner making things up to complain about us having any guest. This is not a place for anyone who likes to actually have the camping experience. No fires after 9, no noise at anytime of the day and evening and the most unfriendly people on the planet. Audrey comes across as a nice lady but is actually unstable and influenced by people who go camping to sit in their campers all day and night, watch tv, don’t want any noise or fun, and their all on the verge of end of life … ITS A NURSING HOME OF CAMPERS !!!

If you want a good camping experience do not go to this camp ground. The only thing great at this camp ground is Audrey’s son Chad. He’s a great dude and super helpful when you needed some help or advice. This is a 1 star campground no questions asked, we asked several people in the area and they all said to stay away from this place and their unstable owner AUDREY!!!!

Wonderful campground!! Bath house was pristine and well appointed with hand held, grab bar and seat. Grounds were mulched and landscaped. Site level and neat. Registration staff lovely. Dog friendly. Quiet.
Would definitely stay again!!

Solid campground. Very quiet. I stayed her alone with a child and felt very safe. This campground does not have a pool, or children activities, but is very close to Maine beaches. I didn’t spend much time here during the day and was just out and about. Very reasonable prices. I would stay again.
