They have a great boat launch. It's wide and easy access. Took the boat from a Lamoine to Bar Harbor, only took about 30 mins. Water was like glass that day though 😊 Will launch here again

Super nice staff. Great park. Nice sites. Great shoreline area for walking and for looking for shells and rocks. It's fun to watch the fishermen go out to their boats.

I’ve done camping four times before across different states, and honestly, I had almost given up on it—especially after some bad experiences. After visiting Acadia National Park, I was planning to book a motel because I felt camping wasn’t worth it anymore. But Lamoine State Park completely changed my mind!

This was hands down the best camping experience I’ve had. The campground is peaceful, clean, and very well-maintained. There are restrooms and showers located conveniently throughout the site—and they’re spotless! The entire area is beautiful and calming, and to top it off, it was only $32 per night, which is such a great deal.

One of the highlights was the staff—they were super polite, helpful, and welcoming. You can really tell they care about keeping the place in great shape and making sure visitors feel comfortable.

We had a lot of fun and genuinely enjoyed every moment. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quiet, clean, and well-run campground. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Great experience at this park! We had a terrific, very private campsite that was away from the water but still very much in walking distance. We ended up having to move sites upon arrival because the one we initially booked was too wet to get our camper in, as there has just been so much rain this spring. This was not a problem at all and the staff was very helpful and took care of it immediately and got us into another open site. Bathrooms and showers were very clean and everything functioned properly. The beach/ water is a short walk from all of the campsites and had a lovely view of the sunset/sunrise. FYI : Bar Harbor and Acadia is about 40 minutes away, super scenic drive :)
We will definitely be back!

Extremely beautiful state park situated on an overgrown apple orchard, Ash forest and estate on the water.
Camp sites are generously spaced, clean and there are sites in a more open field and sites in a forested area; no water, septic, or electric hookups and generators are not allowed on until 8am, a diversion from other Maine campground rules. Also, be aware, some sites don't have gravel packing and are extremely muddy.
The bathrooms are ok, kinda older state-like- quality and just clean enough but not clean enough for me to want to sit on someone's dried poop on the rim of the seat .. oh well, good enough for government workers ... the sinks can only run water for seconds at a time, I don't dare try the shower ..
There is a beautiful 1 mile walking trail, my dogs each had several ticks after the walk but that's most of Maine.
There is a really sweet interpretation center.
Camp fire is $6 and it's open for people to take a leave money in a can.
The campground is very clean.
There is a playground and treehouse which is really cool.
I would certainly return despite it's imperfections; the natural beauty of the forest, the birds, ... All make this a beautiful place to stay.
There is a beach. I think kids would really enjoy this campground if they like to ride bikes.
