West Forks Family Campground

Great place for river side camping. If you raft or kayak the Kennebec River, this place is great to take out of the river right at your campsite.

Extremely happy with our experience at West Forks Family Campground. The property is tucked away and secluded but yet conveniently located near town and right on the Kennebec River! We used this location as our home base while in the area for whitewater rafting and it was simply perfect, were able to raft straight to our campsite. The facilities were extremely clean and the property itself was like a home away from home for us.

We enjoyed our stay here thoroughly. No frills, basic campsite with beautiful river access. Close to barrys convenience store and right near moxie falls. Will definitely be back!

Camped here for two nights! Very pleasant campsites that have picnic tables and small fire pits. Although there were a good amount of mosquitoes, it is to be expected in upper Maine. Very close to the Kennebec river, Crabapple Whitewater, and Moxie Falls. If you are looking to enjoy the amenities of West Forks while also getting that camping experience, this is the place to go. Well suited for Boy Scout groups!

Great place to stay to access the beautiful wilderness of northwestern maine. The kennebec and dead river is 2 of the nicest rivers in the state, and Noah the proprietor of the west fork family campground is a down to earth, reasonable hospitable gentleman. I seriously recommend this site to anyone looking for a good place to pitch a tent with your family.
