Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Cranberry Acres

We had a great trip overall, which makes the way our stay ended especially disappointing. We stayed in a cabin, with five other families all of us booking cabins next to each other, the cabin was clean, and everyone had a great time. Unfortunately, our experience with the staff at checkout completely changed my opinion of this campground.

At checkout, I returned our cabin keys and golf cart and then rented a kayak from the campground. While my son was kayaking, my daughter tried to go to the pool and was stopped by an employee and told she could not enter because we had already checked out.

I went over to the employee working at the pool to make sure I understood correctly, and she confirmed that once you check out, you are no longer allowed to use the amenities.

We then walked back to get my son and return the kayak. When I returned the kayak and picked up my driver’s license, I asked another employee about the pool policy. I was told, very rudely, that at checkout time I am supposed to leave the campground.

The policy itself isn’t even what bothered me the most. It was the way we were spoken to and how poorly the situation was handled. If guests are required to leave the property immediately at checkout, why did the campground rent me a kayak AFTER I had already checked out? They took my driver’s license and rented me the kayak knowing I was checked out, while at the same time my daughter wasn’t allowed to use the pool.

I also know Jellystone offers day passes. Not once did either employee simply say, “You’re technically checked out, but you can purchase a day pass if you’d like to stay and use the amenities.” I would have happily paid for one. Instead, we were made to feel like we needed to leave immediately.

After spending the weekend there with five other families and having an otherwise great experience, it was incredibly disappointing to have it end this way. Good customer service could have resolved the entire situation in about 30 seconds. Instead, the staff members we dealt with were unnecessarily rude and left us with a very negative final impression.

The campground itself was nice and our cabin was clean, but the checkout experience and attitude of the staff were unacceptable. Management should seriously reconsider how this policy is communicated and how employees speak to paying guests.

We had a wonderful experience at Yogi Bear Campground, and a big reason why was Laura! She was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. She went above and beyond to answer our questions, made check-in easy, and always greeted us with a smile.

It’s clear that Laura truly cares about making sure guests have a great stay. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and willingness to help made our visit even more enjoyable. Excellent customer service like hers makes a lasting impression. Thank you, Laura, for helping make our trip so memorable—we can’t wait to come back!

Campground could do better. It was a bit over crowded. Lots of seasonals. You have to get to the pool 30 minutes prior to opening if you want a chair. Our site had a bees nest in the tree so we had to be careful. We also noticed lots of ticks, campground needs to spray for these critters as they can harm people. No shade, would be nice to have trees planted. Over priced for rv sites. Campground online said full on website, but lots of sites opened on our end near cabins. Did not enjoy the hayride screaming and going on past 930pm when our child was sleeping. Probably wont go back to this jellystone. The others were at least nicer. Staff was a little less cheerful. And everything here you have to pay for, nothing is included but the pool and playground which had dog poo on it. Hope this review helps others in choosing a good jellystone campground.

This was our first time coming to Jellystone, like everyone we were going for a relaxing weekend. As I read other posts I agree totally that water is a major concern. I see you said it’s tested often but I would never drink it. Campground needs more trees for shade and privacy. Finally I have a big issue with the speed the golf carts drive around. We were heading out and I make sure to drive the required speed of 5 mph but yet a golf cart cut through a site just so they didn’t have to follow us. Most of the carts were all rentals and should have governors on them. It was a very hot weekend and like expected the pool was packed and hard to relax when all chairs were taken. Not saying we won’t return but you never know. I tried to write this review as simple as possible and trying not to beat you up. At night I never saw any staff patrolling the campground.

We had a great stay at Jellystone Park in Carver, MA! We arrived expecting more activities based on the website and app, so we were a bit disappointed at first—but that quickly changed.

Even in the off-season, there was still plenty to do, and the park was clean, well-kept, and the cabins were spacious and comfortable.

What really made our trip amazing was the staff. Everyone—from maintenance and registration to Heather in recreation and the General Manager JP—was incredible. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our kids had fun and we all were having a great time!

Overall, the staff truly turned our stay into a fantastic family getaway. We’d absolutely come back again!
