Hinata Retreat

Hinata Retreat is an absolute gem in the Berkshires. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful, intentional, and truly adults-only in the best way. The cabin was beautiful and impeccably clean, with thoughtful details throughout, and the soaking tub with mountain views was the definition of relaxation.

We also had dinner at The Perch and it was fantastic. The service was exceptional, the appetizers were delicious, the drinks were scrumptious, and the overall ambiance made it feel like a perfect date-night setting, with the Berkshires as a stunning backdrop.

If you’re looking for a romantic, nature-driven getaway where you can actually slow down and reset, Hinata Retreat is it. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about coming back.

With work and life so hectic lately my wife and I needed a break to unwind and decompress. We found heaven. We just returned from a few wonderful days at Hinata Retreat, and it truly could not have been more perfect. The views alone are worth the trip — absolutely breathtaking from sunrise to sunset. We started each morning with coffee in our hot tub and ended our evenings with cocktails soaking under the stars. It was the ultimate way to relax and unwind. The outside fire-pit was especially perfect in the crisp, cool mountain air, and the inside fireplace made our cabin feel warm and inviting. We agreed that we had the best night’s sleep in the incredibly comfortable king bed with their luxury bedding — it was pure comfort. We also enjoyed a delicious meal and perfectly crafted cocktails at Hinata’s restaurant, The Perch. Everything was made to perfection. And the service was 5-star. They also had a market that you could get anything you needed. You could even get steaks to grill on your deck if you wanted! What truly sets Hinata apart is the high level of service. From the booking to the checkout, the entire staff were outstanding— friendly, welcoming, and attentive in every encounter. It was the absolute best peaceful, mountain escape. I can’t recommend Hinata Retreat enough.

Our stay at Hinata was awesome! We spent our anniversary weekend there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was well thought out and contained mostly everything you’d need to stay inside of it without leaving! From the dual shower, soaking tub and jacuzzi hot tub to plush robes and strong coffee, it was perfect. Dinner at the perch was icing on the cake! We’ll be back!

If I could give more than five stars, I'd give Hinata all the stars in the sky that I gazed upon while relaxing in the hot tub. We came to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary, and this was one of our best anniversaries ever!

There are, of course, the obvious things that make Hinata special: the aforementioned hot tub, the soaking tub big enough for two, or witnessing the sunrise over the mountains from the king-sized bed while wrapped in the most luxurious duvet. But it's also all the little things: the cabinet of screen-free activities, the ample storage space to keep things uncluttered, and the fact that there's a real door on the bathroom and not one of those sliding things that doesn't really close all the way that other hotels think look cool (because some of us don't need *that* much intimacy.)

The amount of thought, care, and intention that went into creating the Hinata experience is felt immediately. Every detail is an invitation to slow down, relax, and reconnect. Everything feels luxurious and high quality without feeling over-the-top or pretentious. Our package included breakfast delivered in the morning, and the variety and the quality of the food was fantastic. How did they make a simple scrambled egg and cheese on brioche so tasty?? I can't stop thinking about the smoked chicken salad sandwich we picked up for lunch from the marketplace. (I will write a separate review for The Perch, but our experience was absolutely wonderful!)

We will absolutely be back again the next time we need a reset and a reminder to slow down.

Where do I even start! I booked two nights at Hinata after searching for the perfect cabin getaway for my fiancé’s birthday, and boy did I find it. I got the romantic package, I normally decorate hotel rooms myself for special occasions , so I was a little nervous trusting Hinata to deliver in a way that I would, and according to my fiancée they did everything perfectly! Not that much was needed with these views and these perfectly curated cabins, as soon as we walked in I immediately knew I made the right decision in picking Hinata. The cabins have everything that you could need, we definitely overpacked. The restaurant and staff were incredible, we’ve also never experienced being brought out a box of knives to choose from for our filet, so that was a nice touch. We got quite a few items from the menu as we love having a little bit of everything when we experience new places and everything was 10/10. The amenities inside the room were perfect and relaxing. I am now a bath tub girl and I love that for me. We also loved the hot tub and had never experienced one during the winter months, huge fan. Jen was very responsive for any and everything we needed through the portal. She even fulfilled our request for orange juice even though they didn’t carry it, the chef freshly squeezed it for us and sent it with our breakfast! I could keep going on and on but I will save some for our next visit in September!
