Our experience was very mixed. The site we had left a lot to be desired, it was all sand, with no grass at all. There was a huge tree directly in front, right along the road, where we were supposed to be able to park off the road. When we parked on our site, our truck took up most of the site space. If we parked along side of the tree, we were being constantly told to move our truck because it partially blocked the road. But as my husband and I are elderly and handicapped that made it very difficult for us to walk up from where the visitor parking is located.
We also paid for a boating spot, and that came with a parking place for our boat trailer. Someone else's boat trailer was parked in our spot for all but 2 days of our stay, and that issue was not addressed. The docks are Okay, but could be extended into deeper water for larger boats. We had to go across the lake to the municipal docks to load our larger boat when we had more than 4 people.
I advise you to have a good water filter if you decide to camp here, the water has a lot of rust, and has an off taste and smell. It is not the campgrounds fault, our friends live just a few houses away and have the same issue.
I do not have all complaints about this campground. The grounds are very pretty and well maintained. They have a wonderful playground for children, a beautiful cabana for a get-together if you want to have a party. The beach is nice and clean, the swim area well defined. The shower and bath room is nice and clean, well stocked with toilet paper and hand soap, There is a laundry area, yogi can purchase tide pods and softener sheets. There is firewood available at a reasonable price. And there is a cookie/ice cream wagon if you want a snack.

We have a seasonal at Dumont Lake Campground. We absolutely love it!! The bathrooms are always clean and they do a wonderful job keeping it up! The beach area is always in great shape and looks beautiful. We are planning to be around for quite a while!

We just had an incredible stay at DLFC! We stayed in the Lux Tent with lake views. 100% we will be booking another stay. The tent was so clean, spacious, cozy and cute. The BED oh my world the bed was the best part. The sheets and blanket were not only soft but cooling as well which was great considering it was about 80 out! The campsite was big and well maintained. Loved listening to the birds and bull frogs, what a gem!! Highly recommend DLFC!

Pros: Great location! I loved listening to all the songbirds and bull frogs and watching the geese and goslings. We met several camping neighbors, and they were all very friendly and helpful. Kayak rentals are offered for a great rate ($10 each for 4 hours). Very nice and spotless restrooms! We look forward to camping here again in the future.
Cons: poorly managed. The office was closed several times when they were advertised as open. The website indicates the RVs included WiFi, but they don't have WiFi. Inspectors came during our stay, and the septic inspection failed, so all the RVs that were hooked up had to be immediately disconnected. The water connection for the rental RV next to us was spraying water the entire 10 days we were there, and the problem was reported on day 2 (the handle was shut off). They don't have a spare key for the rental, and I accidentally locked myself out. Thankfully, the key was on the table, and I was able to slide open the window and reach in to grab it. We ordered firewood, and it was never delivered. Thankfully we weren't charged. We just went down to the corner store to buy some. Given all these things, I would still camp here in the future due to all the pros. Hopefully, the owners will get the other issues handled soon.
